We feel it's in the best interests of our clients to combine the benefits of TD Ameritrade's offering with thinkorswim's trading technology as soon as possible. As we promised you, the trading platform, service and support that you counted on at thinkorswim will remain the same. Key Transition Dates Transition Weekend:Friday, August 12: We start the process of transitioning your account to TD Ameritrade. This means that starting Friday after market close, you won't have access to your account online, through either thinkorswim.com or tdameritrade.com, until Sunday afternoon, August 14. Your downloadable thinkorswim trading platform will also be unavailable. Extended-hours trading will not be available Friday evening, but any open orders you have at the end of the regular session will remain open. Sunday, August 14: Starting Sunday afternoon, you will be able to log on to tdameritrade.com and access your account (including your assets transferred from thinkorswim) and the downloadable thinkorswim platform using your new UserID and your current password. You will be able to trade futures and forex as usual starting Sunday evening. Monday, August 15: You will be able to trade as usual using the downloadable thinkorswim platform. Accessing Your TD Ameritrade Account, Starting August 14To log on to tdameritrade.com: You'll be able to log on using your new UserID (see below) and your current password. You will see your new TD Ameritrade account number(s) when you log on.
