NinjaTrader is a free application for advanced charting, market analytics, automated strategy development, backtesting and trade simulation. 2. Do you have the guide to show how to connect to TWS of IB?

  3. Hi Weijian,

You can create a connection to Interactive Brokers using the following guide.

    Interactive Brokers:
    http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/support_interactivebrokers.htm

Connections can also be made to 3rd party feeds such as eSignal, TD AMERITRADE, Tradestation and many more. You can find connection guides for these providers on the following link.

    Connection Guides:

If you have aren't sure if your broker or data feed provider can be used with NinjaTrader, please do not hesitate to ask or send an e-mail to sales At NinjaTrader dot com.

    Sincerely,

  5. Hello,

I would like to ask a few questions about NinjaTrader.

    1. After NinjaTrader is connected with Interactive Brokers, how do I use NinjaTrader to control TWS for automated trading? Are there any step-by-step examples (or detailed sample codes) for handling different TWS orders via NinjaTrader commands?

    2. Recently Interactive Brokers provides free delayed market data for TWS, how can I use NinjaTrader to reload those free TWS historical data?

    3. The most commonly used software for trading futures in Hong Kong is SP Trader (http://www.sharppoint.com.hk/eng/download.htm) because it can provide free real-time market data for Hong Kong Futures. Is there any way for NinjaTrader to connect with "SP Trader" for automated trading of Hong Kong Futures?

Thanks for your help in advance.

  6. Hello,

I have included answers below your submitted questions. If I can be of further assistance please let me know.

    1. After NinjaTrader is connected with Interactive Brokers, how do I use NinjaTrader to control TWS for automated trading? Are there any step-by-step examples (or detailed sample codes) for handling different TWS orders via NinjaTrader commands?

MD: When you connect Interactive Brokers to NinjaTrader your automated strategy will run in NinjaTrader and orders placed within NT will show in TWS. There wouldn't be any step by step examples for handling different TWS orders via NT commands as our coding for Market, Stop Market, Stop Limit and limit orders will translate for programming to any supported broker.

    2. Recently Interactive Brokers provides free delayed market data for TWS, how can I use NinjaTrader to reload those free TWS historical data?

MD: It should work the same as creating a real time/historical data connection using the following guide. Please let me know if this works.

    http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/support_interactivebrokers.htm

MD: We have several brokers who support the HKFE and provide data feed trials; however SP Trader is unfortunately not available with NinjaTrader.

I am including a link to our supported brokers: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/partners_onlinetrading_brokers.htm

If you would like to know which brokers in particular support the HKFE please send an e-mail to Sales AT NinjaTrader dot com.

    Sincerely,

    NinjaTrader Mike
