Thanks for your reply. I have the follow-up questions, appreciate your help: 1. I have all quotation and Fundamental data in place. If I change symbol to google format, does it mean I have to download data again? 2. how can I get fundamental data from google? is it better than Yahoo?
Yxd, yes, I would say you will have to download the data again as the symbols will be in another format so this means it is better to start another Amibroker Database and load the symbols in to it so it stays fresh.. this is also good to do as you can compare both sets of data.. if you have a fast net connection. this shouldn't bother you.. as a full data download only takes me about 10mins on about 2100 stocks codes.. (EOD daily updates takes about 30 seconds) Also on that note: Google Data verses yahoo.. both are not pure.. so there will be some that argue that you are using inferior data as it is not a true clean feed.. but for intents and purposes it does the trick.. and it is free!!! you can always verify any results you get from your broker daily data that you may have access too..
have difficulty to download non-US stocks, such as HKG:0054 or TSE:BMO. Always get 404 not found. Log file import.log doesn't have anything. Help!
asked amibroker support, for non-US stocks, there is NO "download to spreadsheet" link on google historical data site (US stock can http://www.google.com/finance/historical?q=NYSE:BDK ), amiquote will not work. I might try to use google data API to get the data. The problem I 'm facing is yahoo data for HK is no more than 6 month.

ydhq loader behaves the same way as amiquote, ie: get "no data for symbol" to load HKG:0054 from google
