  1. A segment on ABC's Good Morning America this morning reveals that one major mortgage lender is in the process of canceling the equity lines homeowners have taken out against their homes. Anticipating a continuing downward trend in home values, the unnamed lender has decided to cut future losses.

This could very well lead US homeowners having equity lines through other lenders to tap into them before they disappear. This, in turn, could lead to a short but deep run on US banks and create a whole new liquidity problem. Look for additional Federal Reserve intervention and a further decline in the USD.
