hylt ($100,000.00) 1/10/2008 11:49 AM I'm reading "New Trading Systems and Methods" by Perry J. Kaufman. It's one of the best books on trading system, but it use TradeStation 2000 EasyLanguage as examples. Are there any books using WealthScript? Eugene. ($100,000.00) 1/10/2008 12:40 PM While Altucher's book "Trade like a Hedge Fund", as I heard, doesn't contain all the supporting WL code, code for many systems described there was published by users of this site. daronow ($100,000.00) 1/10/2008 1:47 PM Check out the Pruitt Hill systems quester coded from the books by Pruitt/Hill. Those were originally coded in easylanguage and were translated to Wealthscript. You can generally get people to translate for you if you post the code, and many systems are already translated if you search the code library and the forums. Also check out Kaufman's "Smarter Trading" book, it's also excellent. Altucher's book is written using wealthscript but personally I don't find the systems all that useful. Dave brucev ($100,000.00) 1/10/2008 5:01 PM Hi Hylt, I currently teach Computational Finance at Bond University in Australia, and am in the process of writing a textbook for my students for next time I teach the subject. Basically, the course is designed to teach students how to design and test mechanical trading systems (with and without the use of soft computing ie. Artifical Intelligence). Students from my courses generally aim to work for hedge funds, or boutique investment companies, or just want to trade for themselves. At the moment, examples are planned to be in WL, however, as WL5 will not be available internationally by then, it will be in wealthscript initially. I will probably convert them if I decide to move to WL5. Note that I don't publish my trading strategies, the book is a guide to how to develop your own. Cheers, Bruce
